Uneven Wage Growth in Poland. Wholesale Trade – The Market Outsider

date2026-04-13

2.png Although wages in Poland continue to rise, significant differences between industries are becoming increasingly apparent. In Q4 2025, the average wage in the corporate sector grew by 7.46% year-on-year; however, the pace of increases today depends primarily on the condition of specific sectors.

The largest increases have been recorded in the automotive, machinery and logistics industries, where strong demand for specialists is fuelling wage pressure. The wholesale trade sector, by contrast, is clearly lagging behind — not only in terms of lower wage growth dynamics, but also due to a decline in employment. As a result, the labour market is becoming increasingly differentiated — some industries continue to compete intensively for workers, while others are reducing headcount and approaching costs with greater caution.
