Wage growth in Poland slowest since 2021 as the labor market loses momentum

The pace of wage growth in Poland has clearly slowed, reaching its lowest level in four years in the first quarter of 2026. Analysis by the Gremi Personal Analytical Center shows that companies are moving away from intense competition for workers, focusing instead on cost stabilization, maintaining profitability, and more cautious employment planning.

As Evgenij Kirichenko points out, the labor market is gradually shifting toward a more balanced model, with wage pressure lower than in previous years. Despite the slowdown in wage growth, the situation remains uneven across industries, with employers' decisions increasingly influenced by inflation, energy costs, and economic uncertainty.
