The Labour Market Health Index Falls Below the Equilibrium Level
Despite stable economic growth, the labour market in Poland is beginning to slow noticeably. The
decline of the NEI indicator to 49 points — below the equilibrium level — signals a transition from
a growth phase to a mild cooling of employment conditions.
Companies are continuing to recruit, but are doing so more cautiously and selectively, focusing on efficiency and labour cost control. Economic uncertainty is also playing an increasingly significant role, affecting business sentiment and limiting the propensity to increase headcount. As a result, the labour market is entering a stabilisation phase following a period of very dynamic growth, and the pace of new job creation is noticeably weakening.
