Right after the war in Ukraine broke out, Poland had 1.6 million refugees from that country. Today there are about a million. No wonder retail chains try to reach out to such a large group of potential customers. They adapt their offer to them and also help with everyday shopping. In Lidl stores you can hear announcements in Ukrainian over the speakers. It turns out that not everyone likes it. "Are announcements in German shops in Polish?" – asked Mrs Anna. Lidl has responded.
