The Polish labour market is differentiating ever more clearly between industries. The highest pay rises were recorded in the automotive industry (9%), the machinery sector (8.6%) and logistics (8.5%), where demand for specialists still exceeds supply. Logistics also stands out for the largest increase in employment — 10 thousand people were added to it. Wholesale trade fared worst, with rises of 5.7% and a drop in employment of 27 thousand people.

Despite the general rise in wages, companies are approaching hiring ever more cautiously. In some industries, plans for cuts are appearing, and at the start of 2026 both unemployment and the number of unemployed people are rising. At the same time, high demand for manual workers persists, met mainly by foreign workers in a temporary-work model.
