Working in Poland is a more attractive prospect for Ukrainian workers than opening a business in their own country. Tomasz Bogdevic, CEO of Gremi Personal, commented in a Deutsche Welle report on the Ukrainian government's initiative to provide financial support to labour migrants for opening their own business in Ukraine. According to our expert, low-skilled work in Poland can earn around 900 euros a month: “Any initiative promoting business development is good. But you have to pay attention to the nuances: will it make labour migrants from Poland and other countries return to Ukraine. It seems to me that it won't, because not everyone wants to become an entrepreneur. Secondly, people understand that the economic situation in Ukraine is unstable and the conditions for doing business are not transparent.”
