On changes in labour migration in Poland in 2020

date2020-03-12

Evgenij Kirichenko spoke on Radio Voice of the Capital about the changes in labour migration processes in Poland in 2020 and what can be expected from the employment sector in 2020.

The portrait of the migrant has changed greatly. If 4–5 years ago Ukrainians came to Poland simply to work, now they come for a good European standard of living without drastic day-to-day changes. If earlier people came for six months and returned home, now they come to work in order to stay in Poland. If earlier Ukrainians aged 35 and over came, now the average age of a Ukrainian migrant is 34.5 years, meaning that young people are relocating.
