Ukrainians in Poland are being deceived during the recruitment process: the most common scams revealed

ukrayincziv-u-polshhi-obmanyuyut-pri-prijomi-na-robotu-nazvano-najposhirenishi-shemi (2).png Employment agencies in Poland use several tried-and-tested schemes: the guaranteed rate turns out to be lower than that advertised in the job vacancy, part of the salary is paid ‘under the table’ and may simply not be paid at all, not all working hours are recorded, and deductions are taken from the first pay cheque without any prior warning during the recruitment process.

A separate risk concerns the processing of documents. Failure to register with ZUS or discrepancies between official records and actual circumstances can lead to problems not only with pay but also with one’s legal status in the country.
