Why Young Ukrainians in Poland Out-Earn Their Polish Counterparts: An Analysis by the Gremi Personal Analytics Centre
According to data from the Gremi Personal Analytics Centre, drawing on a Deloitte study commissioned by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Ukrainian workers in the 25-34 age group earn approximately PLN 1,500 more per month than their Polish counterparts.
This finding stands out against the broader trend: in most other age groups, Ukrainian workers’ incomes are broadly comparable to those of Polish employees or slightly lower. The difference may be influenced by tax regulations, worker mobility, working hours and proficiency in the Polish language.
