Most Companies in Poland Have Frozen Pay Raises—Study

These are the conclusions reached by the Gremi Personal analytical center based on the results of the first quarter of 2026. The results of the quarterly NEI (National Employment Index) were published by LIGA.net.

The average gross salary in the corporate sector was 9,263.5 zlotys—a 6.3% increase, which is the lowest rate since 2021. 68% of Polish companies have suspended salary increases; the minimum wage as of January 1, 2026, is 4,806 zlotys (+3%). Salaries grew fastest in the defense industry and logistics, and slowest in the food industry (+4.6%).

“The Polish labor market is gradually emerging from a phase of overheating. Salary is no longer the main tool in the battle for talent, and companies are returning to conservative cost management,” said Yevgen Kirichenko, founder of Gremi Personal.
