In 2025, the following days will be statutory non-working days in Poland: 1 January (Wednesday) – New Year's Day, Solemnity of Mary (Nowy Rok, Świętej Bożej Rodzicielki) 6 January (Monday) – Epiphany / Three Kings' Day (Trzech Króli) 20 April (Sunday) – Easter Sunday (Wielkanoc) 21 April (Monday) – Easter Monday 1 May (Thursday) – Labour Day (Święto Pracy) 3 May (Saturday) – Constitution Day (Święto Konstytucji 3 Maja) 8 June (Sunday) – Pentecost / Whit Sunday (Zielone Świątki, Zesłanie Ducha Świętego) 19 June (Thursday) – Corpus Christi (Boże Ciało) 15 August (Friday) – Assumption of Mary and Polish Armed Forces Day (Wniebowzięcie Najświętszej Maryi Panny, Święto Wojska Polskiego) 1 November (Saturday) – All Saints' Day (Wszystkich Świętych) 11 November (Tuesday) – Independence Day (Święto Niepodległości) 25 December (Thursday) and 26 December (Friday) – Christmas (Boże Narodzenie)

When Is the Best Time to Take a Vacation in Poland in 2025?

If you combine public holidays with annual leave days, you can enjoy a much longer break. Here is how to plan your vacation in 2025 most effectively: 1. January. There will be two public holidays in January – 1 Jan and 6 Jan. Take leave on 30–31 December, 2–3 January and 7–10 January, and you will have an uninterrupted holiday from 28 December to 12 January – sixteen days in total**.** 2. April. Take leave on 22, 23, 24 and 25 April. Combined with the Easter weekend, you will enjoy nine consecutive days off. 3. May. 3 May (Constitution Day) falls on a Saturday – under Polish law, employers are required to grant an additional day off in compensation. This month, it is worth taking leave on 2 May and then on 7, 8 and 9 May, giving a total of nine days off. 4. June. A longer break can also be arranged in June. Take just one day of leave on 20 June and enjoy four days off – from 19 to 22 June. 5. November. If you take leave on 10 November, you will have a long weekend – from 8 to 11 November inclusive. 6. December. In 2025, Christmas falls on Thursday and Friday (25–26 December). Take additional leave on 22, 23 and 24 December for a short holiday break. You can extend it further by taking leave on 29–31 December as well.

When Will Trading Sundays (niedziele handlowe) Fall in 2025?

In Poland, supermarkets, shops, shopping centres and markets are generally closed on Sundays due to the Sunday trading ban. However, this ban is lifted before major holidays so that people can do their necessary shopping without queuing.
