How to Plan a Long Holiday Around Public Holidays in Poland
Employees often calculate their vacation dates so that taking just 3–4 days of annual leave results in a long break.
At the start of 2024, it was possible to take four days of leave from 2 January to 5 January. The full rest period — nine days (from 30 December to 7 January).
You can also plan yourself Easter holidays: take four days of leave from 2 April to 5 April and enjoy nine days off (from 30 March to 7 April).
There are two more options for a spring holiday.
The first — take leave separately on 29–30 April and 2 May, giving you nine days of rest (from 27 April to 5 May).
The second — take leave on 27–29 May and also 31 May. You will end up with nine days of rest from 25 May to 2 June.
In summer, you can get a long August break in Poland by submitting a leave request for 12–14 August and 16 August. Your time off will last nine days — from 10 August to 18 August.
Want to escape the autumn weather? Take leave on 12–15 November and you will have nine days of rest (from 9 November to 17 November).
Many people travel to see family at Christmas, and the calendar makes it possible to enjoy a long break with a minimum number of vacation days used. Take leave on 23–24 December and 27 December, and spend time with your family for nine days — from 21 December to 29 December.
