Ukrzaliznytsia Launches New Trains to Poland and Cancels Several Routes

Ukrzaliznytsia announces changes to its train schedule to Poland. In this article, read about new routes to Poland from Lviv and Kyiv, the cancellation of certain services, and repair works in Przemyśl that are affecting timetables.

New Rail Connection Rivne–Warsaw

Great news for Ukrainians waiting for new trains to and from Poland: the connection between Rivne and Warsaw launched on 15 October 2023. The train departs Warsaw at 21:45 local time and arrives in Rivne at 5:45. Return services from Rivne depart daily at 11:00, arriving in Warsaw at 17:29. Tickets are currently available at ticket offices only — online sales are not yet available.

Timetable Changes Due to Repair Works

From 8 October, following the completion of repair works on the Polish side, routes between Ukraine and Poland return to their regular schedule. In particular, trains no. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia–Przemyśl, no. 35/36 Odessa–Przemyśl, no. 705/706, 715/716, 53/54, 89/90 Kyiv–Przemyśl have all reverted to the timetable that was in effect before the repairs.

New Schedule for Train No. 119/120 Kyiv–Chełm

From 3 May, a new train no. 119/120 Kyiv–Chełm is being introduced, departing Kyiv at 06:28 and arriving in Chełm at 17:27. On the return leg, the train departs Chełm at 10:23 and arrives in Kyiv at 22:45. This service will be convenient for passengers flying out of Warsaw Chopin Airport after 23:00 or in the early morning (for example, on flights to Cairo, Ostrava, Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna and other cities).

Cancellations and Route Changes

Trains no. 89/90 Kyiv–Przemyśl and no. 73/74 Kharkiv–Przemyśl will be suspended from 7 May to 6 October. During that period, only two Intercity+ trains will operate on Fridays and Saturdays: no. 705/706 Kyiv–Przemyśl and the new no. 707/708 Kyiv–Przemyśl.
