Ukrainians Focus on Logistics: Nearly Half of Candidates Choose Warehouse Jobs in Poland
Over the nine months of 2025, Ukrainians were most active in seeking jobs in the logistics sector. According to internal data from the international staffing company Gremi Personal, warehouse and logistics centre roles have become the primary employment pathway for our candidates in Poland.
Logistics — the Top Choice for Ukrainians in 2025
Nearly 49% of Gremi Personal candidates in 2025 chose to work in warehouses and logistics centres. These positions include roles such as:
- packaging workers,
- sorters,
- warehouse operatives,
- order pickers.
This sector remains the most stable and high-volume employment channel for Ukrainians in Poland.
Other Sectors Popular Among Ukrainians
Beyond logistics, Ukrainian candidates also actively pursued other industries. The top five most sought-after sectors were:
- Agricultural work and food processing — 11.2%
- Low-skilled industrial labour — 9.96%
- Technical unskilled work — 9.5%
- Meat and fish processing — 9.47%
These sectors form the backbone of Poland's sustained demand for labour and remain the most accessible options for Ukrainians.
Demand in Poland Remains Stable Despite Market Fluctuations
As noted by Anna Dżobolda, Director of the Recruitment Department at Gremi Personal, the structure of demand in Poland remains largely unchanged throughout the year:
«The demand structure in 2025 has remained stable. As in 2024, the highest demand in Poland is for positions in logistics centres, the food industry, and seasonal pre-holiday work. Among Ukrainian workers, warehouse operatives, packers, and sorters are particularly sought after. They also actively apply for positions in the construction sector, where demand for skilled tradespeople — bricklayers, tilers, plasterers, and fitters — has been growing recently».
She adds: even despite a decline in job postings from Polish businesses in the first half of the year, the labour market continues to experience a shortage of workers in several sectors.
Most In-Demand Professions in Poland
According to Gremi Personal's observations, employers are most actively looking for:
- meat processing and butchery workers in the food industry,
- truck drivers,
- bus drivers.
A Resilient Segment — Technical Specialists
Demand for technical occupations in 2025 remains high and consistent:
- forklift operators
- locksmiths / maintenance fitters
- welders
- technical maintenance workers.
«In these roles, employers expect not only proven hands-on skills, but also a responsible approach to safety regulations and a willingness to work in shift patterns. This segment is one of the most resilient and is virtually unaffected by seasonal market fluctuations» — emphasises Anna Dżobolda.
Supervisory Roles: Higher Requirements — Higher Pay
Gremi Personal also identifies a distinct category of mid-level and supervisory positions:
- team leaders,
- shift managers,
- line managers.
These positions, however, require:
- proficiency in Polish,
- experience in similar roles in Poland or abroad,
- the ability to organise workflows and manage a team.
It is precisely these competencies that unlock access to stable, well-paying opportunities.
Seasonal Work: An Additional Opportunity at Year-End
Alongside permanent employment, demand for seasonal roles also persisted throughout 2025. Within the Gremi Personal client structure, they accounted for 2.1%.
«Towards the end of the year, the number of short-term vacancies related to pre-holiday preparations traditionally rises: order fulfilment, packaging, warehouse operations, and temporary positions in food production. These roles become an additional opportunity for Ukrainians who are not seeking long-term employment or who want temporary work during peak months».
Key Requirements for Candidates
For both permanent and seasonal roles, the core requirements remain straightforward:
- willingness to work,
- legal residency in Poland.
«These are essentially the key conditions that open the door to the most in-demand roles — both permanent and seasonal — enabling Ukrainian workers to respond flexibly to changes in the Polish labour market» — the expert emphasises.
