Ukrainians in Poland Will Be Able to Apply for a Residence Permit Online

Ukrainians residing in Poland can now apply for a residence permit (karta pobytu) much more easily — through a new online service called the Case Handling Module (MOS).
The service was launched by the Office for Foreigners and is available in Ukrainian.
How the service works
Through the MOS portal, you can fill out an electronic application form for a temporary or permanent residence permit and submit it to the relevant voivode. The interface works like a convenient online wizard: many fields offer ready-made options to choose from, contextual hints are available in multiple languages, and the system will not allow you to skip required fields.
Currently, after submitting the application online, it must be printed, signed, and delivered in paper form during a personal visit to the voivodeship office. In the future, the plan is to move entirely to electronic submission, with no paper copies required.
Additional features of the portal
MOS provides foreigners with a wide range of useful information and tools:
✔ checking your eligibility to stay based on your individual situation;
✔ detailed description of entry, residence, and exit procedures in Poland;
✔ a database of frequently asked questions and common mistakes;
✔ step-by-step checklists for obtaining a residence permit;
✔ videos and publications with instructions from the Office for Foreigners and other institutions;
✔ interactive PDF forms and other documents needed to legalise your stay.
Who can benefit
The portal can be used by anyone planning to apply for a karta pobytu — particularly Ukrainians with a PESEL UKR number who work, run a business, or want to legalise their stay in Poland on a longer-term basis. Completing the application online significantly reduces the risk of errors and allows you to prepare a complete set of documents more quickly.
This service is an important step towards simplifying procedures for foreigners. It helps save time, avoid common mistakes, and better prepare for a personal visit to the office.
