Ukraine Will Compete with Poland for Workers Amid the EU's Demographic Crisis

After the end of the full-scale war, Ukraine may face direct competition with Poland for labour resources. The reason is an ageing population and a shrinking workforce in Poland, which deepens the country's dependence on foreign workers, including Ukrainians.

This is discussed in a piece by Delo.ua, prepared on the basis of analysis by international recruitment company Gremi Personal and data from GUS (Poland's Central Statistical Office). Experts note that without a systematic policy for the return of citizens and the creation of competitive working conditions, Ukraine risks losing a significant share of its labour potential during the post-war reconstruction period.
