List of Countries Whose Citizens Receive the Most Residence Permits in the EU

"Poland is the only EU country that during the pandemic allowed foreigners to come, work legally, and extend their stay thanks to government decisions," says Gremi Personal Vice President Karolina Śleszyńska.

Employment was the main reason Ukrainians received residence permits (86% of all first permits). Poland ranked first among European countries where Ukrainians obtained the most residence permits — driven primarily by work — 81% (488,900 permits).
