According to data from the Gremi Personal employment agency, the number of educators working in Poland this year has increased by 15% compared to last year.

«Women work at checkouts, in warehouses, in fields, packing fish and meat. An English teacher, for example, shared that she packed groceries at a well-known supermarket chain. Typically, some of them eventually quit their jobs in Ukraine — because they earn more in Poland. The rest combine trips to the EU with remote work. There's nothing surprising about it. As long as teachers' salaries aren't raised, they'll keep going back and forth» — the school principal from the Lviv region shared anonymously.

«Medical workers also go abroad for seasonal earnings. Usually nurses from small towns. Ukrainians don't aim for highly skilled positions, since their time there is limited — two to three months» — said Vasyl Voskoboinyk, head of the All-Ukrainian Association for International Employment.
