Polish Business Complains About Shortage of Ukrainian Workers

Farms and the hospitality sector (hotels, cafes, restaurants) in Poland have begun to experience a severe labour shortage. This is reported by the Gremi Personal Analytics Centre. Polish entrepreneurs warn that half of their harvest could be lost if foreign workers do not return for seasonal employment. Although permanent workers from Ukraine have remained in Poland due to the pandemic, this does not resolve the workforce shortage in agriculture, where the nature of the work is inherently seasonal.
