A work visa is the permit required to work in Poland. It is issued on the basis of an official invitation from an employer, which can be obtained in two ways:

  • directly from the future employer;
  • through an intermediary.

The work invitation is issued by a Polish employer for a specific individual. It confirms that the named person will be officially employed for a specified period at a particular company with a fixed salary. To issue an invitation, the employer must contact the Labour Office (Urząd Pracy) at the location where the company is registered and complete the relevant application form.

Where to Find Intermediaries

If a potential labour migrant is looking for work in Poland, employment agencies can help. These include, for example:

  • Gremi Personal;
  • Alliance Group;
  • Work Service East;
  • Kostar company sp z o.o.;
  • Razem work.
