PKP Intercity has announced that a new train timetable will come into effect on 1 September 2024. This is great news for residents of Poland and for our clients – workers from abroad – as trains on selected routes will travel faster and new connections will be introduced.

Poland's popular rail operator PKP Intercity is working to make journeys more comfortable starting from 1 September this year. The company has announced the introduction of an updated timetable. New connections are expected to cities in northern and western Poland – between Szczecin, Poznań and Wrocław. A new direct express link between Białystok, Warsaw and Łódź has also been announced. The number of trains to the popular mountain resort of Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains will increase.

PKP Intercity Timetable Changes in 2024

What changes can passengers on the Polish railway expect in 2024?

From Warsaw to Poznań the journey time will be 2 hours 18 minutes.

The train from Szczecin to the capital will take a total of 4 hours 32 minutes. Currently, travelling from Warsaw to Szczecin or back takes approximately five hours.

The new train IC 1106/1007 Esperanto Łódź–Białystok–Łódź will have only one stop – in Warsaw. This means that from Łódź to Warsaw Zachodnia you will be able to arrive in under an hour, and to Warsaw Centralna in 1 hour 12 minutes. This is great news for residents of Białystok. From September, train IC 1106/1007 from Warsaw will get them there in 1 hour 38 minutes. Notably, such a journey takes less time than travelling by car. The company also announced a new direct connection between Warsaw and Wrocław – in 1 hour 18 minutes. The train will pass through Poznań.

We wish you a pleasant journey!
