Polish Ministry of Finance: Ukrainians Paid Nearly 1.65 Billion Zlotys in Taxes in 2024

Polish Ministry of Finance: CIT and PIT revenues from foreigners in 2024 exceeded 4.88 billion zlotys
Total gross revenues from CIT (corporate income tax) and PIT (personal income tax) paid by foreigners in 2024 amounted to over 4.88 billion zlotys — the Ministry of Finance announced in response to a parliamentary inquiry. Of this amount, revenues from Ukrainian citizens totalled nearly 1.65 billion zlotys.
The Ministry of Finance's response to the parliamentary inquiry on the financial balance of immigrant contributions and taxes paid in Poland has been published on the Sejm website. The document, signed by the head of the National Revenue Administration (KAS) Marcin Łoboda, states that in 2024 total gross CIT and PIT revenues from foreigners exceeded 4.884 billion zlotys, of which over 1.649 billion zlotys came from Ukrainian citizens.
For comparison: in 2023, revenues from these taxes from foreigners amounted to nearly 3.609 billion zlotys, of which over 1 billion zlotys came from Ukrainians. In 2022 — over 4.1 billion zlotys from foreigners and over 803 million zlotys from Ukrainian citizens.
«(...) the tax systems used by the tax administration do not allow for a full breakdown of budget revenues by taxpayer citizenship. The figures provided are therefore indicative and may carry a certain margin of error» — the head of KAS noted in his response to the inquiry.
He emphasized that the figures relate to «the indicative cash execution (revenues minus refunds) for the relevant year in respect of CIT and PIT income taxes from foreigners in general, and separately for Ukrainian citizens, based on data from the ministry's IT systems».
It was also clarified that the data does not include the share of tax revenues transferred to local government bodies.
