Poland needs workers from Ukraine. The Gremi Personal analytics centre reports that farmers are waiting for workers to harvest strawberries, cherries, raspberries and currants — a season that begins at the end of May. Many Ukrainians have stayed in Poland throughout the coronavirus pandemic, yet the country is still experiencing a severe shortage of labour. If foreign workers do not arrive to work the fields before the season starts, half the harvest could be lost.
