What Jobs Are Available in Polish Warehouses?

Warehouse job listings are among the most popular searches for people looking for work in Poland. Employers also have plenty of offers in this sector. The warehouse and logistics real estate industry in the country is growing and developing, requiring ever more staff.
In general, warehouse work can be offered by manufacturing companies, online stores, warehouses of major postal operators, clothing warehouses, food warehouses, pet supply warehouses, and more.
What positions are available in Polish warehouses? What working conditions and salary levels can you expect? Read on to find out.
What Are the Working Conditions in Warehouses**?**
Let's start with the working conditions in warehouses.
1. Schedules vary everywhere, but warehouses most often operate around the clock.
Be prepared for night shifts. The upside is that many companies offer overtime hours, meaning you can earn more (if that interests you).
- The temperature in the facilities where you'll be working can vary greatly. For example, in a refrigerated warehouse, temperatures will be below zero. A clothing warehouse may have a comfortable room temperature. Some work processes may take place outdoors — and there, of course, everything depends on the season.
Typically, if the facility is cold, the company provides appropriate workwear and often issues it free of charge.
- Depending on the position, work may be performed standing or sitting (e.g., parcel sorting with movement or at a desk), while forklift drivers sit in their vehicles. This is also worth considering — choose a workload that suits your physical capacity to avoid health problems.
4**. Warehouse jobs can be either seasonal or permanent.** Some companies look for workers for 2–3 months — you will be informed of this when hired. However, many offers are permanent positions, where the employer expects a long-term commitment.

Forklift Operator
Let's start with positions that require qualifications confirmed by the relevant certification.
Forklift operator, pallet truck operator, or reach truck operator in Poland can be employed with a UDT certificate. Precisely because candidates without proper training are not admitted to work, there is a certain shortage of such specialists on the market. Gremi Personal is aware of this problem, and last year we opened a UDT School for forklift operators. It's worth noting that training there is free for women. Read more about our UDT School at the link below.
The main tasks in these positions involve unloading, loading, and transporting various goods. Working with a scanner may also be part of the responsibilities.
The hourly rate typically starts from 20–22 PLN net per hour. Some companies also offer bonuses. There are performance norms in place, and if you complete your work faster and with better quality, you may receive additional financial rewards.
At a rate of 22 PLN/hour and 250–300 hours worked, you will earn 5,500–6,600 PLN per month.
Order Picking and Fulfillment
Order picking and fulfillment is not a very demanding job, but it requires attention to detail and sometimes basic communicative Polish.
The position itself may go by different names — order picker, packer, labeller, or simply warehouse worker.
Usually, no prior experience is required, but if you know how to work with specialized computer programs, use a scanner, or pack orders — that is a definite advantage.
Most often, tasks involve weights up to 30 kg, which you will be informed about when hired. Positions involving the movement of heavy items are typically offered to men.
Responsibilities for this position may include the following tasks:
- picking and assembling orders according to a delivery note using a scanner;
- receiving and inventorying goods in the warehouse;
- unloading/loading containers with merchandise;
- packing orders;
- palletizing orders (wrapping with stretch film) and moving pallets with a pallet jack.
The average rate is 18–19 PLN/hour net. Working up to 200 hours, you can earn 3,600–3,800 PLN.

Parcel Sorter
Parcel sorting is a position similar to the previous one, but involves more physically demanding tasks. Sorters and warehouse assistant workers perform similar duties.
These tasks include:
- sorting parcels by delivery destination;
- loading parcels from the loading dock onto a conveyor belt and unloading from the conveyor;
- moving cargo on pallets using a pallet jack;
- filling containers with parcels;
- cleaning the workstation and maintaining tidiness in the warehouse.
The rate is usually around 19 PLN/hour net. Working 200–220 hours, you will earn 3,800–4,180 PLN.
