5 Signs of a Reliable Employment Agency in Poland

Finding employment in Poland can be quite a challenge for Ukrainians. The Polish labour market for foreigners is genuinely different from the Ukrainian one. For example, employers almost always entrust hiring to agencies. This is convenient for companies, as agencies often handle the onboarding and ongoing support of workers, which significantly reduces staff turnover.
What signs should you look for when choosing a reliable employment agency? How can you be sure it offers good jobs for Ukrainians in Poland? Read on to find out.
Signs of a Reliable Employment Agency in Poland
In most cases, these signs are characteristic of a good agency with real job vacancies for Ukrainians in Poland.
1. The agency has been operating on the market for a long time.
Of course, every experienced recruitment agency was once a newcomer. However, it is the newer agencies from which you can more often expect unpleasant surprises. Poorly established recruitment processes, a limited selection of vacancies, unverified working conditions — all of this is typically found in those who have only recently entered the market.
There is also a worse scenario — fly-by-night agencies created for quick profit at candidates' expense, sometimes using fraudulent schemes. You can spot them by the signs we will describe further.
It is worth noting that Gremi Personal has been operating on the market for over 15 years. During this time, we have opened 18 offices in 10 cities across Poland. Gremi Personal works with over 400 Polish companies that hire Ukrainians, and places workers in more than 100 cities throughout Poland.
2. Information about the agency is easy to find — on its website, social media, in the press, etc.
This is another important sign. A good agency talks about its work, keeps vacancies up to date, and communicates changes in employment conditions. You might think that being everywhere is not necessary — what matters more is finding people jobs in Poland. But media presence does not cancel out a recruitment company's core responsibilities. The truth is, in today's world you simply cannot operate "quietly" — that is what the times demand.
3. There are both positive and negative reviews about the agency.
Reviews about working in Poland can be found on many websites. People tend to share negative experiences much more readily. Does the agency have only glowing reviews? That is suspicious — most likely someone has worked on "cleaning up" the negatives. No reviews at all? Either the agency appeared very recently (going back to point 1) or something is not right.
Over the years, Gremi Personal has received many grateful reviews from workers. But we also have negative reviews — and what is more, we read them, analyse them, and do everything we can to improve the situation. Reviews about employment, working in Poland, vacancies, accommodation, and conditions show us areas we can change and improve — and we do exactly that.
4. The agency is upfront about the downsides of a job offer.
Does a perfect job in Poland exist? The answer is: a perfect job for you exists — one that you will accept with all its pros and cons, even though it might not be ideal for someone else.
Many jobs in Poland, especially unskilled ones, have specific characteristics that may not suit everyone. High or low temperatures in the workshop, dry or humid air, dust or odours, heavy workload (or conversely — part-time employment leading to fewer hours and lower pay), standing or sitting work, a fast pace, quotas and penalties... Does this list worry you? In most cases, only 1–2 of these drawbacks will be present in any one vacancy, and they are offset by a higher rate and special conditions (appropriate workwear, hot drinks, extra breaks, and other perks).
At Gremi Personal we never hide anything from you — we are honest about all the downsides, because we aim for a long-term partnership with you.
5. The agency not only provides job vacancies for Ukrainians in Poland but also offers additional support services.
When it comes to employing foreign nationals, an agency cannot limit itself to simply finding a vacancy for a worker. The very process of hiring someone from abroad is longer and more complex. In a new country, a candidate often does not know all the nuances and specifics of working life, may feel lost, and need help finding accommodation, sorting out paperwork, or settling in.
That is exactly why Gremi Personal provides a full range of services: document and visa processing for working in Poland, help with getting to the office and workplace, placement in comfortable accommodation, workplace induction, medical examinations, coordinator support, and assistance with adaptation.
Our workers have access to the "Telemedicine" service — free medical consultations in their native language. We help with timely processing of work and residency documents. We have also opened a UDT school for professional upskilling. Gremi Personal's motto is: we take care of our workers — and we live up to it every single day.
