41% of Ukrainians Find a Job in Poland Right After Arrival

The analytics center of the international employment agency Gremi Personal has researched how long it takes Ukrainians to find a job in Poland. Over the past year, 11,339 Ukrainians found employment through the agency. Based on interview results, 41% of those hired find a job within the first week after arriving in Poland.
26% of respondents say it took them about two weeks to find a job. 25% of respondents found employment within a month. 6% admit that they had to search for more than two months, and 2% indicated that the process lasted over three months.
At the same time, the agency asked employers and managers how long they typically spend looking for new team members. This refers specifically to mid-level and highly qualified specialists, as recruiting blue-collar workers is a considerably simpler process from a recruitment standpoint.
The agency surveyed around 50 managers from various departments to find out how long it takes them on average to find a specialist for their team.
50% of respondents said it takes them two to three months to find the right candidate.
33% say the process takes one to two months. And 17% of managers say they usually search for a specialist for more than three months.
Of those, 43% of managers conduct 5–7 interviews to select the right specialist from among the candidates. 34% of respondents say they interview 3–5 candidates, and 23% answer that 1–2 interviews are usually sufficient.
"These figures dispel the myth about the difficulties of finding a job. Businesses in Poland are competing not only for Ukrainians in low-skilled positions but are also ready to hire specialists with strong professional expertise. However, the main barrier to securing a good position is, in most cases, the language issue," says Anna Dzhabolda, Head of the Recruitment Department at Gremi Personal.
