The Ukrainian government's initiative to provide grants for Ukrainian migrants to start their own businesses is a welcome idea, but it will not lead to a mass return home. That is how Tomasz Bogdewicz, General Director of Gremi Personal, commented on the Cabinet of Ministers' proposal: "It could reach around 720 people, while in Poland — according to the latest ZUS data — there were 532,500 Ukrainian workers by the end of 2020. The number of legally employed Ukrainian citizens is steadily growing. Ukrainians come to Poland not only for higher wages, but also for the stability, predictability and security they cannot find in Ukraine."
