Hiring through an agency? Three signs that a cheap offer spells trouble

date2026-10-04

An exceptionally low price for employment agency services does not always mean savings for a business. The article points out three warning signs that companies should watch for: improperly chosen forms of employment, rates that fail to cover minimum labor costs, and incomplete documentation for foreign workers. Irregularities in these areas can lead to additional costs, inspections and legal liability, including for the user employer.

The publication cites the position of Gremi Personal, according to which differences in agency pricing may result from the scale of operations, the way recruitment is organized or the scope of services, but they require careful verification. Before signing a contract, companies should check the provider's entry in the KRAZ register, the structure of employment costs, the settlement rules, and the division of responsibilities for occupational health and safety (OHS), working time records and the legality of employing foreign nationals. It is also important to comply with the statutory temporary work limit of 18 months within a period of 36 consecutive months.
