May 1 (Labour Day) news: unemployment rises, job postings collapse, and employment falls – Poland's labour market in a clearly weaker condition

The latest GUS data and analysis by the Gremi Personal Analytical Centre show that the Polish labour market is clearly losing momentum. Rising unemployment, falling employment, and a significantly smaller number of job postings point to growing caution among employers and an ongoing slowdown in recruitment activity.
As Evgenij Kirichenko of Gremi Personal points out, companies are increasingly focusing on efficiency rather than expanding headcount. At the same time, the economy is relying more heavily on domestic consumption, while industry, exports, and investment remain under pressure, which could affect the labour market situation in the coming months.
