strefabiznesu.pl: Ukrainian women in Poland work below their qualifications, though they buy flats here

In August 2021, the analytical centre of the employment agency Gremi Personal conducted the focus study "The Pulse of Labour Migration: a portrait of a woman", examining what experiences Ukrainian women migrants have in Poland. During focus-group discussions and individual conversations with Ukrainian women it turned out that they still face many stereotypes, even though they have mostly been in Poland for between six months and 11 years.
As many as 85% of the Ukrainian women invited to the study and employed in our country admitted to working below their qualifications. Only 15% of the women who came to us from Ukraine had no experience of manual work. The women migrants see Poland as a place friendly to those who want to work hard and wish to stay here longer. Yet the path to achieving this goal is winding and strewn with many obstacles.
