As the employment agency Gremi Personal assesses, the increased influx of workers from the East is driven by the difficult economic and political situation in the countries across the eastern border, Poland's relatively stable situation, and the guarantee of clear rules of residence for foreigners compared with other EU countries. The inflow of foreigners is now boosted by the rapidly growing demand of Polish employers, for whom the government's recent reintroduction of a 10-day quarantine for people crossing Poland's border from outside the Schengen area will be a major challenge.
