The government must stand up in defence of Ukrainians in Poland

The Polish state does nothing to counter anti-Ukrainian sentiment. This silence will come at a price.

I should get used to the fact that in recent years the Polish flag has been reduced to the role of a gag with which the custodians of the national cause silence their opponents. That it has become a kind of cloak in which a common thug, a political fraudster and a thief all willingly wrap themselves. The Polish flag is a convenient cloak of invisibility – all the vile deeds disappear beneath it. The flag ends the discussion, it is the ultimate argument, a joker pulled from the nationalist's sleeve.
