money.pl: The twilight of seasonal work? Poles reluctant to earn abroad

Spring and summer have been the time for seasonal work for decades. For years Poles travelled to Western European countries to earn extra money. Farm work requires neither language skills nor high qualifications. The Interia portal reports, however, that interest in going abroad to earn money is declining year by year.
As the Interia portal recalls, summer trips to the West for farming or gardening work attracted Poles for years. Short seasonal jobs allow people to top up the household budget, require no months-long preparation — such as learning a language or completing specialist courses — and offer relatively good money.
