Who earns off whom? Ukrainians and the Polish budget in hard figures

A report by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego from March 2025 shows that in 2024 over 2.8 billion zloty in 800+ benefits was paid out for 292,000 children with Ukrainian citizenship. At the same time, 794,000 Ukrainians paid social insurance contributions, and their total contribution to the Polish budget was estimated at 15.1 billion zloty. BGK stresses that the benefits received do not exceed the refugees' contribution to state finances.
