The president vetoed the aid law for war refugees from Ukraine and demanded a return to the idea of limiting benefits for Ukrainians. The debate from the presidential campaign began to bear fruit.

"We remain a nation open to helping and taking in refugees from Ukraine, and to caring for them. And that will not change," President Karol Nawrocki assured shortly after announcing that he had vetoed the so-called aid law for Ukrainian citizens.
