The pandemic exposed some of Poland's migration management problems. It turned out there is simply no one to replace the Ukrainian workforce. Part of the vacant jobs at companies were filled by Poles and by workers from Asian countries. However, recruitment agencies are reluctant to source candidates from Nepal, India or Bangladesh because of the high costs and logistical difficulties of bringing workers from such distant places.
