Dziennik Gazeta Prawna: Even thousands of doctors may come to Poland from beyond the eastern border.

Dozens of hospitals have begun recruiting medical staff from the East. It is estimated that hundreds or thousands of healthcare workers will come to Poland. This is the effect of new regulations adopted at the end of November, which make it easier for non-EU foreigners to take up work in the healthcare sector. As Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports, for hospital management, quickly finding staff is a key issue. Without personnel, a facility does not operate at 100%.
“Applications come to our agency mainly from nurses, dentists and general practitioners from Ukraine and Belarus who want to work in Poland. However, the biggest boom will come after national consultants are appointed to help verify the experience of doctors from outside the EU,” says Tomasz Bogdevic, CEO of the employment agency Gremi Personal.
