Unemployment at 6.1%, Job Postings Down 67% Year-on-Year – New Labor Market Data from Poland

The start of 2026 brought a clear deterioration in Poland's labor market. The unemployment rate rose to 6.1%, the number of job postings declined, and an increasing number of companies are opting for restructuring and workforce reductions. Analysis by the Gremi Personal Analytical Center indicates that the market is clearly slowing down, with employers taking a more cautious approach to new hiring.

Experts point out that while domestic consumption continues to support the economy, industry, exports, and construction remain under pressure. As Evgenij Kirichenko of Gremi Personal emphasizes, in the coming quarters efficiency and careful personnel decisions will matter more than further headcount growth.
