Ukraine will compete with Poland for workers due to the demographic crisis in the EU
Once the full-scale war is over, Ukraine may face direct competition with Poland for labour resources. The reason is an ageing population and a decline in the number of people in employment in Poland, which is increasing its economy’s dependence on foreign workers, particularly Ukrainians.
This is discussed in an article by Delo.ua, based on analysis by the international recruitment firm Gremi Personal and data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Experts point out that without a systematic policy to repatriate citizens and create competitive working conditions, Ukraine risks losing a significant portion of its labour force during the post-war reconstruction period.
