A New Labour Market Trend. Polish Employers Are Actively Hiring, But with One Condition

date2026-05-29

2 (44).png Demand for temporary workers in Poland is rising - in April 2026, the number of requests for such personnel increased by approximately 10%. This was stated by Gremi Personal founder Yevheniy Kirichenko in a feature for NV Business.

According to Yevheniy, the trend towards temporary employment strengthened considerably in the first months of 2026: Polish businesses are looking for ways to scale up recruitment quickly amid macroeconomic uncertainty and rising personnel costs. The highest demand is recorded in logistics, warehousing, food processing and e-commerce. At the same time, the conditions of competition for workers are also changing: candidates are paying increasing attention to the legality of employment, schedule stability and social guarantees - not just the hourly rate.

Against this backdrop, the number of Ukrainian workers in Poland continues to grow: in the first quarter of 2026, their numbers increased by 9.7% - to nearly 865,000 people. The Gremi Personal founder considers the retention of simplified access for Ukrainians to the Polish labour market a pragmatic decision that helps businesses offset staff shortages.
