In Poland, the trend of workforce reduction is noticeably intensifying, and the labor market is entering a phase of structural changes. This is reported in a new article based on data from the analytical center of the international employment company Gremi Personal.

Experts note that at the beginning of 2026, big business announced intentions to mass-layoff over 9,000 employees, which is a 50% increase compared to last year. Overall indicators confirm the deterioration of the situation: the unemployment rate has risen to 6.1%, and the number of job vacancies has dropped by 67%. The largest decline in employment is recorded in industry (automotive, furniture, machinery). At the same time, the market is becoming increasingly heterogeneous: while some sectors are optimizing their workforce, the logistics, HoReCa, and electronics sectors are demonstrating growth, largely due to foreign labor.
